Always worth having a read of this every year. The whiting stocks aren't in too hot a shape in Vlla or Vla if you read this publication which is interesting considering the hordes of juveniles that people seem to be encountering on the beaches
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.
Fresh Water (2) brown trout, sea trout

Note that the format of the stock book has changed this year. In particular, the Stock Book for Inshore Species, including Bass, won't be available until Spring 2009.
