I'm off to clonakilty next week and hope to get a little bit of fishing in. Any extra advise on pluging close to the town would be welcome. No need to repeat anything said with clonakilty in the topic as I've read through it already. I was there a couple of years ago with out a rod a thought the coves to east of it looked like a good spots to try.

try across from Dunmore house hotel, and also further up the coast heading away from Inchydoney.
There are also some excellent rock marks past Ring pier. Follow the road around past Ring, and veer right up onto the headland. An old track (you can drive most of the way) will lead you down to the rock marks. This is a great spot for plugging.
