Spiddal, Co. Galway 16-12-08

#1 Post by Bradan »

People:Me and Neil

Duration:2000-2130

Tide:HT~2030

Weather:Miserable, windy, heavy showers

Bait:Lug

Rigs:Flappers

Results:Pouting, coalfish, poor cod

Report:Had a couple of casts at Silverstrand but it was miserable, very windy and waves spraying into the face, not fun, so headed to Spiddal pier for a bit of shelter. Plenty of bites and small fish coming in, mostly coalies and pouting, nothing big. Hands were frozen with the wind and rain so didn't stay long, bites eased off after 9 so we headed for home and a hot cuppa shortly after. At least it wasn't a blank :)
Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!
