I'm off to Waterville for the weekend and although I'm bringing the missus I was hoping to sneak in a bit of fishing. I'm staying in Caherdaniel and I am hoping for a bit of Bass plugging and maybe some fly fishing. Has anyone got a mark or two them wouldn't mind sharing? PM me if you don't want to post them.
If there is good fishing for other species let me know and I'll tackle up for them.

For a grand walk if the weather is good, you could try Abbey Island near Caherdaniel. It’s a bit of a tramp but lots of variety if you like a bit of mild clambering. On the south side of it there are some rocks platforms suitable for fly fishing over the bay or go to the end and there are some good pollack. Bass I’m told hang around the harbour entrance, but I have no personal experience. Some bait can be dug in the bay as well.
Lambs Head is a well known fishing spot and in between it and Abbey Island is a beach, good for fishing but be wary of patches of sinking sand.
