At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

wat are the strongest recommended aberdeens. i have used kamasan and muastad so far kamasan has been okay but the mustads seem to be straightening wen i get caught in the bottom.

Which model mustads are you using? I use the Mustad 3262 i think they are called :? and find them grand! If your fishing rough enough ground and the hooks are bending out when snagged it stops you losing the rest of your rig and weight so might not be as bad as you think

Agree with the Mustads, nice and strong. Also Kamasan B940 or Varivas from Veals, not much to chose between any of them.

95% of my hooks are sakuma
like the off set hooks a very sharp point
you have to watch sizes ,size 2 sakuma is nearly the same as a size 1 kamasan
other than that a great hook
2009 species= whiting,flounder,dab,codling,bass,dogs,rockling,smooth hound,

I use 3262 for my rock fishing they bend out of snags and they have a good barb on them if the hook straightens u still have a good chance of landing the fish .

as far as aberdeens go, kamasan is the only one i would consider. as far as other hooks go, im really beginning to like the sakuma mantas.

bear in mind that thats what aberdeens are supposed to do. alot of people use these sort of hooks rock fishing so they dont loose their rigs. i doubt they would ever bend out on a fish if you were careful.
