Re: best tea on the beach ?
pre made tea always tastes a bit off. bring a flask of hot water and your other bits in a little tupperware box and a drop of milk in a coke bottle. best thing about the hot water is you can have a pot noodle with it too to keep the belly tickin over.

Cheer’s John,
Its on the list of must haves for my camping trip to the Beara peninsula this Christmas… I can make it down there as I have a stove in the van,
Between that drink and the dozen coca cola bottles that I will be putting hot water into to warm the bed roll I should at least get a few hours comfortable sleep… last trip I had the only thing that kept me awake was my cold feet,
You live and learn,

you can buy small petrol/diesel generators 2nd hand that can allow things to be plugged in. i saw guys in a small camper up in Oxegen and they had a 4 socket extension lead in one and had a kettle, toaster and george forman plugged into it. get one and buy yourself an electric blanket to go with it.

girls, absolutely no time for this.
travel light and have your tea at home in front of fair city like a man.
if you need sustenance wring out a few of them newspapers that wrapped up the lug* . juice will keep you going for weeks (and please don't forget to bring all the rubbish from outdoors catering home too).

I have a little generator and it did cross my mind to bring it and a hot air blower to dry any gear that may get wet but I think that would make life too easy
Sack the electric blanket… my bottles of hot water have been tested and they will do the biz on the day… the more I think about the generator the more I like the idea of bringing it along to flood the place with light as I cook the dinner,
I’m ok for a toaster as I have a 2 ring and grill gas cooker in the van that’s a permanent fixture in case of emergency’s,
Seen as I will be cooking fish for dinner ( hopefully) can anyone recommend a good wine
I also like your idea of the grill as it would provide hot toasted food fast... Mr Bonnington (RIP) Would be rolling about laughing if he could see this... but having said that i must add that i aint lost any parts of my body yet due to frost bite so he may not be laughing at any of it...

Re: best tea on the beach ?
fresh brewed tea on the beach is the business, but that only happens to me when I'm out with a couple of my buddies who are way more prepared than me. Was introduced to the delights of a can of strong cider whilst fishing with Donal and Pete the other day - it put excellent edge on the session for me and brought back happy memories of my student days (obviously not advocated for those driving or under 18
)
