peeler crab

i recently bought frozen crab from the tackle shop for the first time but am not sure how to use it. should i peel off the skin or do anything to the crab before use or can i just cut in half and put on the hook also what species is it best used for.
any help would be great, thanks.

They should already be peeled and ready for use. Simply defrost and whip either segments or whole crabs onto suitable hooks (wide gape) with some bait elastic (if they aren't peeled you'll know as soon as they have been defrosted!).
