rodbuilding- thread preserver, yes or no?
curious as to opinions on this lads... first time i tried it and i've had more cracks at the ring feet in a few months than i've had between two rods in 10years... maybe i'm just lucky

you probably have just developed a powerfull cast over the years

mmm... even the rings on my old abu with a glass tip that bends like elastic haven't cracked. i'm not happy  gonna have to go with a rebuild and i reckon it will be resin straight through.
