Zziplex profile on the field

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Zziplex profile on the field

#1 Post by JPS »

here is a short video clip that i was able to put together thanks to Graham Johnson for kindly lending me his rod and new QTC 5500 Low mount reel.

A very nice outfit and one which I was using alongside my own TTLD.

The rod is very nice being the same overall length as the TTLD , tip diameter is thinner but the butt diameter is thicker also with a thicker mid section affording it a more powerfull deflection when loaded with a 125 gram lead alongside the TTLD.

For the casting I used 100 grams for both rods and you can see the other clip in an earlier post.

Overall the performance in regards to distances were basically identical but I was not really belting them as I consider both as fishing rods and will always defer to my WR300 for the serious field work.

hello jeremy, did you try the profile with the reel in high position,
sheds a whole new light on the rod, on the positive side, for casting
and fishing.

Steve,

Haven't tried the rod with the reel up the rod but if I get the chance I will.
