24/11/08 north antrim coast its picking up

People:team red wolf me and sam

Date :24/11/08

Venue:north antrim coast

Duration:1700/2300

Tide:in coming spring

Weather:perfect 8)

Bait:black lug frozen mack sandeel squid

Rigs:2 hook flapper pully pennel

Results:dab pollack coalfish codling dogfish


Report:Me and sam hit carrick to dig lug at 3 left for the north coast at 330 conditions were perfect.We got settled on are mark. We had hopes of a few nice codling and catch them we did me and sam had bout 10 codling between us 15 coalies ruffly between us all a good size lost count i had a dab sam had 3 dogs pully pennel 3/0 ha ha i had a pollack all in all the best session we've had in a good while specialy for codling. :D :D :D

Great session, great to see some Cod being caught.
Any closer and the lens will get wet :lol:

nice session lads, think if ye fished same mark at same time over next 2/3 eves. the fishin will get better

good to se some fish movin. all see fish i've had in the past week or 2 have been flounders, mainly small but had a nice 30cm+ flounder at millisle over a week ago.

If there's codling on the north coast is it reasonable to assume that marks further south should have codling too? Or do they migrate southwards rather than northwards?
Species List 2012 (Me) - Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Plaice, Codling, pollack, dab, SS Scorpion Fish, Ballan Wrasse, Codling.

lol ha ha we wanted to make sure they could be seen sack the camera man. You have a point there one fish jumped out of my mates hands and knocked the camera out of my hands and nearly ended up in the tide :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

cheers! not a whiting in sight either... the pins are driving me bonkers down this way!
