Don't go there
the place is infested with whiting at the moment. No matter where you put a bait it's whiting, whiting, whiting and more whiting. The choice of bait do not matter the VERMIN are everywhere
Best whiting there last night at the SAI comp was 39cm
I'm sure Petekd is writing up his report at the moment and trying to justfy bring lads down to Youghal Beach just to see their baits been ripped apart by these Vermin.
If your into that kind of fishing then go out and enjoy it.

Best chance of getting a big whiting in youghal is with 4/0 penell rig loaded with squid or sandeel
