i have tanked hardbacks and have got some peeling all female should i take them out , or will they start the males peeling.

Ps very new to this crab thing

dunno about in tanks, but naturally males peel first around april, then females peel mid may. males will carry a female under him from when she is ready to peel, once peeled she is called a 'softy' and the male will turn her so they can mate straight away. smaller crabs often peel again around september. hope this info is of use if you didnt know already :) . ps where and how do you provide fresh oxygenated sea water cos this sounds like fun!

With a small fish tank type air pump no need to change the water that often
