isotopes

i was wondering if it is possibible to get isotopes for sea fishing rods for night time fishing. i have seen them for river fishing and i think they are great. is it true they never lose there illumination. and if there are ones for sea angling would'nt it be great if you could somehow permanently attach them to the rod in such a way that it wouldn't affect casting.

best way i've found is to get a couple of 30 mm lengths of silicone tubing that are a neat fit over the light slide them on from either end of the light then whip them onto the rod tip good and tight finish the job of with a good coating of whipping varnish .
i've had one on for around three years now with no problems .
