Shakespear Rod!

I was wondering if anyone has used a shakespear salt bass 11ft rod? Am thinking of getting one????

have the shakespere salt mpv 10ft 2 in 2-4oz and the salt beach fs 12ft 4-8oz i know this is not what you asked,but have fished all year with these rods and have to say the salt series seem to be a brilliant make of rod,the mpv i use as a spinning rod/float rod mostly, and you could cast with it all day! lovely tippy,well balanced rod,and dealt with a 12.5 huss no prob!The fs is a good strong rod,mabye a bit on the small side for distance casting but well built and a lot lighter than other rods ive used! hope this helps!

Sounds good doggie ya i want a light rod so 11ft is a good fit and it feels nice and only 65 euro seems a bargain will buy it Friday and test it out Sunday

cant go wrong bass lover, there very good value

Thanks eric was just wondering though if this rod will be ok for general rock fishing too for pollack, coalies, whiting codling etc???? Anyone know oits rated to cast 2-4 oz

i'd say it would be spot on for what you want it for, fishing for bass with crab baits in close or messing about on the rocks for whatever pops along, theres a flattie rod too in the range., its a bit lighter than the bass version

Ya i have seen the flattie one seems very light think il go for the bass one and match it with a good fixed spool reel either a leeda or okuma thanks for the advice eric and everyone else

Mustad Viking Saltwater Sport - Viking Surf Bass iv seen this rod on the halfway website would it be as good as the shakespear?? Its €60 but is only rated to cast 2oz????

Ya got it friday great rod really light matched it with a leeda quicksilver reel great combo for both payed 120 euro used it today blanked :( :(
