Anyone know how to make lead lifts for rough ground fishing or any other tip to get rig up to surface fast

Flatten a normal lead with a hammer, apparantly that works.

u can make them out of plastic from shampoo bottles and the like. a hole puncher makes a neat whole but you can use a hot piece of wire. the plastic will also bend out of snags unlike the metal fella's! u are looking to make a diamond shape. 3" long and 2" wide. place the holes about 1/2 and inch from the top and similarly the bottom.

no need for the lead lifts if ur using the soft wire breakaway leads!! 5,6+7oz...

don't really agree as the lead lift also serves to get your trace up and away from any snags you might hit on the way in. Ridges and reefs can just as easily catch a hook as a lead.....
