Report: Headed down to the dee hoping for a few fish. Fished here last Saturday during the day and was a bit dissapointed at the number of fish caught.
Straight off Pete was into fish with a number of Whiting and poor cod and Coalies fishing in the mouth of the harbour.
I setup fishing a bigger Mackeral squid bait outside the harbour hoping for a codling or Dogfish. I setup another rod to fish for Rockling down the wall. Since I was behind I changed the rod at distance to fish inside the harbour and got both rods in the water at the same time.
Straight away I was into my first Rockling of the year !! . Thanks to Al and Drew for the tips. A quick photo and it was returned. Soon after there was a steady stream of fish on my other rod. A couple of good Coalies one of about 1.5lb two small codling which was another first of the year and Pouting. Things quitened down abit in the mouth of the harbour so the rod went down the side again to try for another Rockling. I wasnt dissapointed with the second and larger of the night.
All in all a good nights fishing.
