2 gurnard(not sure what type)


report
after an hour or so of nothing caught 2 gurnard in 2 minutes, not sure what type they were, never caught one before.(possibly grey?)
They took the sandeel and were returned alive although had difficulty unhooking them as they're spikey buggers.
Other anglers were catching the same (they left dead ones lying around) and a few coalies - nice evening anyway unusual i.e not cold, not wet, not windy:

Where bouts in Portrush mate?
Im assuming you were at the Blue Pool with the mention of Gurnard.

You're right K2, it was around the blue pool area. I see some of you are heading up that way on the 10th so might introduce myself then and get some tips from you.

cono-flex, portrush has 2 sandy beaches, east strand and west strand with the rocky headland of ramore head in between, you're maybe thinking of portstewart strand?
