Re: Sportscast Ireland Finals
Final Results:
Well conditions were wild to say the least with strong swirling winds for most of the day which proved to be a hinderance more than a help at times, some patchy heavy showers and a cutting north/north-westerly which stayed cross court nearly all day. Never the less spirits were high and some great crack was had, we had the introduction of the novelty "Spud" Wang (150G potatoe) which went down a storm and just may become a regular event
. We had numerous Personal best achived along with 2 new Irish records which was fantastic considering the conditions on the day.
With only 9 members avail to cast and two day casters it was truly a day to remember and the 1st of many i hope.
I once again would like to thank our all our sponsors for providing some excellent prizes and to our main sponsor Henry Lynam for his on going support. http://www.henrystackleshop.com/store/

Congratulations to Marty and all the casters.
Looks like all the effort paid off on the day, even though the conditions weren't perfect some good PB's and Irish records speak for themselves.
Lee's photography is impressive, some great angles, I think the club should buy him a crash helmet though
BTW...what was the prize for nearest to the tower

Thanks Andrew, if I get an invite down again then I think I will bring the heavy rod the next time as well as the M4. Was great craic.
If you do decide to hold a light line day then let me know if the UCC can be of help with leads etc.
