People:Me
Duration:9:30am till 1pm
Tide:High. I thought would be ebbing but if it was it was slight
Weather:NE breeze with mixed weather. messy 1 foot surf
Bait:king rag and manky fishfinder frozen mackerel
Rigs: 3 hook size 2s
Results:one palm sized dab
Report: There isn't room in the car for bringing a decent rod up to wicklow anymore so I have to use my 20 year old silstar rod I have stored up there. It's limited with distance and power so decided to try for flats and went to brittas as there was a report up with good results. I didn't realise I had king rag when bought so had to use size 2 hooks. I had to use grips otherwise the bait was ripped into the rocks and couldn't cast over 30 yards with tide and weed.

Was fishing at the stream beside the rocks at the end of the beach to the south. Was fishing close in and closer in. Happy to be out but would of been happier with a good few flats.

Re: Brittas, Co Wicklow, 1-nov-2008
The water was fairly high all through the session and there was no more beach past the stream. Though I could of made may way over the rocks. I don't get up to often but I'll try the area again in the future
Thanks for your help.
