spinning for crab !!

Was spinning last night around the malahide area and I snagged the lure a little,
a little jerk and I had it out and when I reeled my lure in I had a crab hooked :shock: ,
I picked him off the hook but I don't know what type of crab he was? It was dusk but he
looked like being a very pale colour with pincers more like you'd see on a prawn, his extreme
rear legs were very flat and moved like crazy. His shell wasn't hard more rubber like? was he
just a peeler swimmer crab?
