, high wind from the west. for 5 hours all baits returned untouched not even a crab. Looked great but no fish to be found. With the wind blowing all we needed was a camel and there could have been a remake of Lawrence of Arabia

Hiya mate. I fished Castlerock a couple of weeks ago and only had one flounder. It was a decent fish but it was still dissapointing. The place just looks like it should produce the goods it really looks fishy. Glenarm on the other hand has been great recently. The other week there were coalies everywhere. I was catching them no more than 10 yards out. But it suffers from dirty water coming down the river

Its a lovely part of the world, but i have never had much luck on the north coast storm beaches, much prefer the east antrim beaches myself. Took the leftover bate to Glenaarm next night and had great crack.

When i fished castlerock it was part of a club comp and everybody blanked

I fished the Castlerock venue also. I left early and went to waterfoot beach. It was some of the strongest winds I have ever fished in.
