supper holographic eels/3D eyes

picked up a pack of these today at my local tackle shop, have never tryed them before so i was wondering has anyone had any success with them?
also what would be the best way to mount them?
i'm not realy into useing lures, but these ones look the bis'
any info; ?
as ole rab c said " see me' see the sea' i love the sea me"
right i'am off for a swally!!!!!!! so were's the F***'n purse!!!!!!!

The ones i have (which have a few different colour patterns) i mount them on a lead head with the hook coming back out before the halfway point to give them the lots of movement :wink:

Meant to add if your using light gear you can thread them onto a plain hook and have a few split shot on the line if you leave about 1ft between the last split shot and the eel it'll give it more realistic movement on the retrieve... Tight lines :)

thanks for the info; saltydog,
i always stick to bait fishing and maybe ten minutes with feathers or lure if the mackerel are about. i'm not really into the spinning but these things have got me thinking, for they seam very lifelike. so twomorrow i'll bang out the bait rod and try one of these on a light rod. the spot i'm going to is very good for big pollock at low tide, so touch wood ( tapping my head ) :lol: i will connect with something descent.

Are they the tempest Black ones? These are a cracking eel for Pollock from the rocks. I mount the as described above on a bare hook. I fish them on a 3 or 4 foot snood with 2oz of lead. Less lead for shallow water and more for deep water. Cracking lure.

It might give you a little food for thought if nothing more.

The above replies offer sound advice.

One thing I would say, when mounting the leadhead/hook into the eel, have the barb coming out of the top of the eel rather than the bottom, this way you will avoid too many snags if fishing in kelpy areas.
