turbot and red gurnard caught on the 2nd august aboard rosguill out of downings ,mackerel on a flowing trace was the rig of the day .

The top thornie was caught in Cork Habour on the drift on mackeral

this is the Cahersiveen Thornie

Used that rig for the last 2 hours in Wicklow, Findlater, and had over 60 dogs with it.

Hi, after rosslare small boats six to add, with one on a judges descision
that is a pipefish, was hooked in the head on mini sabikis, it was counted in the festival,
others
turbot
shore rockling
rock cook wrasse
short spinned scorpian ? or long not sure
dragonet

should have said
turbot caught, three hook flowing trace, on mackerel
shore rockling same but with crab
dragonet, three hook trace with ragworm
rock cook, two hook dropper size 8 hooks, ragworm
short/long spinned on twoo hook flowing trace size 8's ragworm

conger taken on mackerel fished on a single hook running ledger whilst fishing a deep water mark(400 feet ) on the antrim coast also had a skate of approx 180lb but it took 2 of us to play it to the surface so doubtful if it counts :lol:
