Bass Mark...??

#1 Post by Eoghan »

Yeah but nobody told the flounder....! Pestered with them...! :x
Usually when they are on the feed the Bass arent far behind them.

One of our usual Bass marks didnt produce this time. Flounder galore. The best pictured here was just over the 2Ib mark.
So even though we class it as a blank it wasnt the worst one to be honest.
Just took the one pic with my phone, sorry for quality.

We ended up with about 6 flounder a piece although my mate(Pcitured) claims he caught more.

Trace : 6/0 single long snood
Distance : 20 ft tops
Weight : 3oZ Gripper
Conditions : Nice surf but cold
Bait : King Rag

Hope to get a few more sessions in before the long wait til next spring..!
Might give the cod a lash this year to keep me honest.

 .You don't get too many flounder of that size from the east coast these days off the shore, and you would consider that a blank :? , even if you were after Bass thats some fish to be proud of there.

I am a bit old for that kind of messing lads.
It does look like hands alright, cant explain it. Its not the background either as that was flat, there were no rocks/sand dunes etc behind him in the pic.

If I was pulling a hoax so to speak, I would have blacked out the background saying I didnt want to reveal the mark or something like that.
But its a 2Ib flounder. A fish I care little about or ever target. Its not like we I was trying to say it was a specimen.
