Results:around 10 cod, endless mackerel and whiting, coafish, dogfish and 1 tope

Report:very late report(have had no net) well best trip of the year, landed my first TOPE!, she was a cracker, 34lbs.. serious fight from a great fish. She was quickly weighed, tagged, few snaps and released. Thanks very much to the skipper, full of info and tips to help me land a few in me own boat aswell , he knew his stuff and looked just as excited as me when he saw it come to the surface. Cod were on average small but a few around the 3lb mark. endless mackerel and whiting and a few decent coalies aswell. Lovely area to fish on a clear day, we were escorted out of the Lough by a huge pod of dolphins, maybe 30 or more with plenty of small calves amoung them. Great day on a great boat, went home chuffed with me first tope haha! roll on next year and a few more..

There are tope better than that only 5mins from where your boat is berthed along with Smoothies and Huss !

im thinkin of givin them a go around strangford lough.
i think there may be some around millisle at the moment there were some macks 2day but they seemed very unsettled.

Several tope over 60lb have been caught in Carlingford/Dunany area this year as well as numerous 50+ fish.........good to hear about the cod too
