This is part of the endurance aspect that we're introducing to the MA comps. It was a choice between the 9am start or a comp at theend of the Raven in Wexford where you have to walk 2.5 miles. So count yourself lucky ;)

Kilmore strand , Co. Kerry is not a venue that can hold a competition. Tide strips out about a mile, Rocks, extreme weed and lateral tide run just makes it impossible. A competition would last one cast. Never seen anyone bottom fish here, for obvious reasons.

Inch beach, much better option, always lots of flounder and bass on it. Or even the SPA in Fenit that time of the year will hold plenty of flounder to crab.

We'll have a look at this again after theweekend- a lot of committee are at masters, including those who fished this beach before and proposed it.

We need to refix this competition
Low water on the Kerry beaches is around 17.00
