are you thinking of webbs catle rock???if so go down to the baily light house in howth before you go through the gates take a left you will see a big rock jut out this is webbs very dangerous spot as when you walk down the grass verge you have to walk across a bridge about 1foot wide and you are about 50foot high. up

Hey Murch, I would only recommend Webbs if you're comfortable with the description given by Damien. Webbs is a dangerous place to get to, in fact, so are most places on the south side of Howth :shock: .
If your looking for some northside spots, I think you would be best off PM'ing some of the regular northside posters...dont forget, a lot of guys dont like to make their favourite spots known to the world, so sometimes forum questions may not get the response you want, hence the beauty of the PM. :wink:

personally i didn't respond because it's a dangerous spot to get too and getting worse. i don't want to feel responsible. the last time i crossed it i froze on the way back- my legs wouldn't move! never again. good spot but not worth it. casting from the bailey over is safer and you have more options. also the bay to the left at low tide has some good fish and no one bothers because it's heavy ground.
