Report: escaped at 6 when the missus got back, chucked the kids and drove like fx@k,
went halfway down the rocks , came across carcass of what must be a basking shark or something, its been there 3 mnths now and its skull is bigger than a pig , first cast got a nibble which progressed into a slack liner....... 3lb bass , next 2 casts got cracking bites but dropped baits, all went quiete then so moved back to the start of the rocks. first cast there and a thumping bite yielded a bass about 5lb which i put back [first time ever ], nothing then for ages just small bites but hook probably bigger than the fish and last cast got a 7inch cod. packed up and went home happy

have been wanting to fish over there for a while but never got around to it

was on the rocks past the house . theres a lot of fishable ground the whole way down the headland, involes a bit of rock hopping

Were you getting many small bites, or hooks being stripped of bait?

yeah tom lots, 3 times hooks got stripped without anything registering on the rods at all, id say crabs were involed aswell
