Bait:mack, rag, squid
dd
Rigs:flappers

Results: 1 mackeral and 5 small whiting

Report:Not much to report, just a short session as i had to work on Sunday. Water was very low to start with . Lots of small bites which were hard to connect with. Had a crack off at one stage   ,,line must have been caught around the tip,,,,no damage done luckily enough. Got the mack as i slowly retrieved the bait. Thought it might have been a bass for a second when i saw a flash of the underside  but to tell the truth i was delighted with the mack. Big thick one at that  . Compared to most fish i've caught ,i think they give a decent account of themselves and i dont know why they get looked down on and get such a bad press :? . Maybe its because i've only got 5 so far this year  . I spent a lot of time looking around for rats once it got dark  Saw one very near me the last time i was here so the old nerves were at me and i kept seeing shadows and things moving :? ,,,, sort of like the way the rod tip moves when you look away from it . . I got some small whiting after dark and i'm sure i would have got more if i'd stayed longer.
