Fish the rocks in between portmarnock and malahide, just under the marino tower can be a good spot from what I've heard.

i've never fished out there but i was out for sandeels on saturday morning behide the harbour the sea was alive with sandeels and bait fish we saw a good few mullet and a sea trout. i'd say if you were to fish it from low water up you would have good chance. i didnt see any bass but i'd say there one have to be one or two of them there. id try spinning with a kilty lure and bottom fishing with big black lug if you can dig them.

Is there a power station near by? If so have a look around for an outflow pipe you'll be pretty close then!

Did a couple of hours in Portmarnock Saturday evening and never mind the bass I had no bites at all. Ran around to Howth for a while but that was a disaster with gangs drinking on the pier. Why O why do I keep going back??????

And why is it that people always ask you did you catch anything while you stand there looking well drunk off I'll never know.

You can find bass on the coast road at low tide, go with waders in the gullies and cast no very far behind the last field of kelp... I caught a few here with plugs... And for howth pier, if you want to be ok, never fish it at night the week end, one time got trouble, was lucky to have my lab with me... :( :(
