Hi all would anyone be able to tell me what flies to use for pollack and if you could post a picture

Hey Tom,
For ease of fishing go a fast sinking line and some deciever patterns.. A Google search will bring up some pics... I like flies with a bit of flash for dull days. A few bright colours are always handy as well.

Buy some silver flashabou. Grab about 20 strands and cut them in sections of about 4 inches. Tie them to a hook from 1/0 to 4/0, using sewing thread. Apply some glue to thread and voila, you have a fly that I have had great success on.

Hi
I know this will incense the purists but... a long strip of old beachball preferably white and another colour (burst to avoid child's tears) whipped on as a base works extremely well and it tends to defeat mackerel if you make it long enough, like around 5-6 inches, 1 inch wide.
