People:me, and others at times

Duration: avg. 2/3 hours

Tide:mostly H&L. waters

Weather: broken/unsettled

Bait:lures.lugs. mack.
Results: bass to 11lb.+/bream
Report: not a great month, bad weather + coloured water a lot of the time, fish were thick some days, other days they were very scarce, 4 bream over 2lb. on the cunn. "stan" had a dubble shot of near 3lbers. spent a lot of time watchin bass hittin the sprats, over the years these fish proved to be almost uncatchable, not anymore :) :) :) a live mack. liphooked and lobbed out were the action is. has resulted in some very good catches, 2, 11lbers and others to 8lb.... a lure that has become my favorite lately is the M.C. holo, takes fish of all sizes inc. 2 over 8lb..............am just in for a tea brake before going back out for h.w. and the dusk, fished the cunn. earlyer with "spinner" he had 1 of 7.1lb. a p.b. i had 3 at 4,5, and 7lb. we both missed several others. :) roll on the dusk and high water........... 8)

God I hate you...!!!

Im loving sitting here in the office......no honestly I am........and I love living in Dublin miles away from Waterford, cant beat it.....

Have tried the lip hooked Mack a few times, bit of a winner alright.
8) Although I did catch a seal one day that nearly broke my mates rod which was wedged in a rock in Kerry. Luckily the hook was returned to us and the seal was fine.

Art,

Good to hear you are catching fish. Am up to my eyes in work but when I read your e-mails it only makes me more determined to retire in the next couple of years. I hope that you leave a few fish for me!!

Am waiting to hear that you have broken the Irish bass record. That biggie has to be hiding somewhere in West Waterford!

Them x raps are lethal alright Art, although you could probably just cast out a hook all day and still catch specimens one after the other  22 on saturday? Happy Birthday

????? :? 3 of us fished a mark last week, i used the above lure the lads used kiltys 6 for me inc. a 7&6lbers. the lads got 3 schoolies, got some new lures for the big tides next wk. i,ll post some pics. if they work
Eoghan, theres only 1 lure i wont use....................kilys, for every 1 you get on em lots of others have seen it and refused, a 3 or 4 in. abu toby sliver/blue will out fish them by miles.............bet for every 1 you have got on kiltys you have seen lots of follows? and refuseals?, then when they do take em its usualy a slow take, with no real conviction, also they take very few fish over 5 lb. they work better if you paint 1 side white.
3 years back at the weedbeds on the cunn. theres was 10 guys fishin with kiltys there was 1,000s of bass just outside the weeds, me and tommy took 110 bass everyone else blanked, around the same time i challanged 4 guys who used kiltys 1 hour i had close to 30, they had 1 that i think was foulhooked, i am goin out not to 1 of my fav. marks 1 will get a few to at least 6lb. :)
