dropnet

i need to make or buy a dropnet, if i make one from a bike wheel any ideas where i can get fine mesh so i can drop it for prawn,hermit crab etc cheers

Booner,

Check out Harris-sportsmail, I say an add for replacement netting (for a landing net) I think it was on the Harris-sportsmail site.

Could try some beach combing will be surprised how much netting, mesh, wood and rope you can find at the high tide mark(might even get a bike wheel in there too, its free cleans up the sea and if you lose the lot somehow your not adding any extra junk to the sea. I made a couple of crab traps and ground bait nets this year all from bits n bobs i found washed up on shore.
