west cork huss mark 30-aug-2008

People:me

Duration:1430-1830

Tide:hw@ 1730

Weather:f3/4 w/sw, cloudy, drizzle as i was leaving

Bait:fresh and frozen macks

Rigs:pulleys, shad, feathers

Results:3 macks, 1 dog, 2 pollack to 1.5lbs, 2 huss 8.5lbs, 12.1lbs




Report:

kind of a spontanous trip, seemed to be a bit of a clearing in the weather this morn so i headed to one of my favourite huss marks. good session if not frustrating at times. had bites throughout the session with a few of these definately dogs, managed to loose 2 huss of about 7/8lbs each and landed the other 2. both these took the head and guts of a mack, one fresh one frozen. the bigger of the 2 gave a great fight, taking about 3-4 mins to land..

Well done lumpy nice huss he's nearly identical to the colour of the rocks!!

cheers fellas, was nice to actually land one, alos my 5th double of the year which i'm pretty pleased about.

I know. Reckon theres some very decent looking spots up here in Donegal for the huss but Peter the Pied Piper has driven them all away.

ya it was a nice photoshop alrite, second best photoshop of the year :lol: thats the same mark pete i brought you the second time. seems to be a nice few fish going there at the mo, if only the wind would shag off now
