[b]People me and the son

[b]Duration 3.30pm to 6.00pm

[b]Tide riseing

[b]Weather not to bab

[b]Bait sprat/mac;/sandeel

[b]Rigs 1 hook pulley/1 hook on running lead

[b]Results 1 thornback ray/ 1 lost conger

[b]Report me and the son went down to the small pier at redcastle to fish the last couple
of hours up to high tide, our aim was to fish for the sea trout, for tide height and condishions
were perfect for them. we both put a rod out at distance and fished in close with our second one, for the frist hour fishing was very slow, in that hour the son had one cracker of a bite
witch nearly took the rod and tripod over the pier, but by the time he got to it and lifted the
rod, it was gone and the sprat was striped from it. then it was my turn, i noticed a couple of small and slow pulls on my rod that was out at distance, then it slowly bent right over. i lifted into it and felt the weight 8) fish on!! ended up landing a nice thornback ray. i have fished lough foyle all my life but this is the frist ray i have got from it, so i was over the moon 8) shortly after that i then got a conger, had him in at my feet and then he was gone, dont think he was hooked, recond he was just holding on to the bait, he was around 8 to 10lb after that we packed up and headed home for the grub....
