hooks for mullet

for 3 years now ive been trying to get a mullet, but still havnt caught one. i have hooked a couple but i thimk that my hooks are either to big or too small. could somebody tell me a good size of hook for any size of mullet.

i've been using 4's 6's and 8's for mullet (have 10's but havent used them yet)
the first mullet i ever hooked into was on a 1/0 with a strip of mackerel.

i suppose if they are feeding and you hide the hook in the bait your in with a good chance with a good hook up..

at the minute im usin 12-16s and ive now had a few.

Kamasan B980 or B983 are the best hooks in my opinion. I use the former for fish baits and the latter for bread flake in sizes 10 and 8.

The 980 is a stronger hook but also a bit heavier and I prefer a lighter hook for presenting bread at the surface.

i use size 11 barble hooks really, strong and they are stainless steel.

my favourite sizes for 'em are 12s and 14s they are what i used through the summer around millisle. didnt get many. all year i had 3 so far.
