First day today, Light lines competition, restricted to inside Roches Point.
Gale force 6/7 southerly winds and with low water at 14.02 the wind against tide in the harbour ment all boats stayed in side the two forts untill after 13.00. Didn't get any feed back as most angler headed off to get the gear dried out for tomorrow.

I called down for a look see yesterday. The leader was Ken Hegarty? from Cork. I'm not sure if that was after day 2 or 1.

How are things going in Africa Mick? I notice that there is very little reporting from the area on RTE etc.

Hi Lads just got another bit of info an Italian angler named Roberto Melandri (team captain) had won his zone and boat on Wednesday and also had an exceptional days fishing today. an both occasions he was fishing on one of our members boats Deora-DE skipper was the legendary Mohawk......... F**k but he will be hard to listen to now :mrgreen:

Heard that one of the Italians passed on a Tubertini rod worth €800 to one of the Irish anglers...but wouldn't part with one of the rigs they used :shock: .
