Weather:northerly wind changing to south westerly. sea was clear with only small crests on waves.
Bait:rag, mackeral, sandeel
Rigs:wishbones, 3 hook flappers
Results:9 fish- 1 doggy, 1 whiting, 3 dab, 4 flounder
Report:tough fishing. 1 rod at range with wishbone and 3 hook flappers at various distances. i was starting to get fed up when i changed tactics and rigs- 4 flounder in 5 casts before i left. that made my day! most fish were reasonable bar 1 flounder and 2 of the dabs. 2 other lads fishin. didn't see thm catch but stayed on for darkness so i'm sure things improved! all fish bar flounder came at range.

forgot the important bit! one of the flounders was double sided. no white underneath. strange!? the others were beautifully coloured, matching the colour of the shingle on the beach. how does their skin change to suit the surroundings so perfectly. i am baffled. they were probably the nicest flounders i've seen yet!
