3lb 12.well chuffed.

If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

Well done! What weight outfit where you using. I took my first mullet on fly on a five weight and it went off like a train. Its a great way to flish for them but it can be extreamily frustrating as I am sure you know.

have to agree there' i have done a lot of fly fishing over the years for trout and salmon, but the fight from a mullet on the fly rod is unbelievable, its something you wont forget in a hurry.

Congratulations Colin your perseverance has paid off. BTW C/burn river mouth is currently full of mullet being fed by the day trippers, hardly conducive to mullet fishing. Sorry to hear about your chum's minor motoring mishap, bet the fir was flying when he got home :lol:

bloody mullet always getting your hopes up then changing their behaviour just to confuse you :roll:
