great that you got something out of quilty - glad it turned up a good few fish in a short session

kerry seems to be a very hot - cold spot altogether

Off to Kerry on Saturday. Hope the fishing picks up. If not? Well I will just have to enjoy the wonderful scenery and the welcoming people. If anyone has any more up to date info/tips it would be greatly appreciated.

Tight lines. :D

If i had more time, i'd have loved to give kerry a proper go, quilty was a real surprise to me as i've never had any joy there in 20+ sessions, but I fished from low water and the first 90 minutes on the turn rather than my usual 2 hours before / after high water, would have gone for lahinch but there was a weed / surfer infestation :-)

Derrynane in particular looks a very interesting mark, but chatting to the lifeguard there he said the only bass were to fly fishing in the river mouth and the only flounder he'd seen all summer had been spear-fished by some lad with a kayak and spear gun !

hard to tell really, had 20 minutes to kill waiting for the ferry, threw out the german sprat and had one in a few minutes,

pod of dolphins just off the pier as we sailed, must have been after something!
