Excellent value filleting knife

Lidel are selling a knife set at the moment for €7..... OK at this point everyone is thinking" they have to be crap if they're that cheap.... Anyway the knives aren't bad at all, strong blades with studs through the handles and certainly sharp enough to fillet mackeral, the knives will also take a sharpening most cheaper knives won't.
The set contains a filleting knife and a plastic cutting board which alone are well worth the €7, also contains another 4 knives and a sharpener (The sharpener probably is crap though)
I forgot to bring a filleting knife one time last year and a tackle shop were looking for €15 for a filleting knife that was actually laughable it was so blunt.

No doubt we'll see them on Ebay shortly. I went there when the last lot of fishing gear was on sale and witnessed the 'Del Boys (and girls)' grabbing piles of gear without even looking at it. Example of what happened to it: Pair of waders (the same as I bought for £14.99) on Ebay, even used the pic from the Lidl's website, for £29.99 plus £7.00 P&P! Sods. :x

I got one of those knife sets as well. They are well worth 7 euro if you can still get them. I also got a fly fishing vest for 12, and a pair of chest waders for 20. The fly vest is great, loads of pockets, and, beleive it or not, good quality. The waders arr the cheap plain rubber types. Nothing special there then. I have used them a few times, and they do the job well. Not a bad buy at all.

Keep your eyes open there people, Lidl do some great deals on all sorts of twiddlies, and we all love twiddlies!! :D
