mates going down on friday any one know of any piers around area were he can bring kids for a mini species session

Hi, there's a pier in Ros, have a look at the map here...http://www.cfb.ie/fishing_in_ireland/se ... akilty.doc
Good chance of mackerel or pollack at high water I'd say.

Also, the road out to the pier also has a couple of obvious spots where there's easy fishing from the side of the road for bass, flats and maybe giltheads..fish an hour either side of low water to minimise weed.
