Rear drag on Fixed Spools

How do you fix the rear drag on a fixed spool when it goes?

Had this problem once with rear drag on an abu cardinal. Saltwater had corroded/siezed it and cap was just rotating without any change to drag. Just unscrewed the 'cap' and gave it a shot of wd40 and it fixed it. :)

Shimano's etc can be difficult to repair when saltwater corrosion has set in due to the large number of very small components in the rear drag assembly. I have found the cheaper r/drag reels much easier to repair although spares are virtually unobtainable for these reels. Personally I prefer front drag spinning reels which are much easier to service/repair and it only takes a few seconds longer to change the spool.
