People: jus me on me lonesum

Duration: 715-9pm

Tide: hw 9ish

Weather: sunny sunny and sunny

Bait: rag and feathers

Rigs:

Results: 8 pollack from 1.5- nearly 5lb

Report:
well i decided 2 get out 4 an hr r 2, so i decided 2 hit a river near my house.
as i was der putin out the bread 4 da mullet i noticed sum1 had left a box of rag behind witch were in good nick i had a change of plan.
i decided i was goin 2 try 4 a speices dat ive never caught (wrase or pollock)
i hit the spot at bout 7 and started 2 set up. i decided 2 fish rag on a float, 1st cast and it was only in the water and hooked up wit a pollack landed it and was bout 1.5lb(delighted as it was my 1st ever). so i baited up again and same again fish on but dis 1 dived and got snaged, rig snaped and float floated away
 freaked as i had only 1 float wit me. tried bottom fishin 4 bout 20-30mins no joy :( so i put on a set of pink lure type feathers and after bout 3 casts of boucen along bottom i got no2 shortly follow by 3,4,5,6,7, and no 8
left at 9 and was very happy wit my session. wat a fight of dem, biggest of nearly 5lb nearly broke my wrist and rod
have 2 say best fighting fish i hav ever caught and really really happy dat i got out after nearly 2 months

Well done wayne, nice to see someone having a good session  . Congrats on your first pollock, and your 2nd,3rd, 4th etc etc  . Was in Greystones myself for an hour myself tonight and got a couple of flounder. Was also trying for pollock on a light spinning rod, and though i didnt get any , i could feel every touch on the baits. Had no lamp so had to go home early   .

yes all above board now Wayne   .

how did you make the pollack taste good :?:

only joking pollack can be good esp with a good helping of black pepper and simply pan fried' or giving a nice coating of bread crumbs and a few fresh herbs  then you could also try a nice beer or cider  batter.
