Strangford sea trout

#1 Post by colin c »

Headed out last night to a mark with the fly rod.As soon as i got there seen fish moving, so quickly tied on a sandeel imitation.First cast had a follow but didnt take.Went on like this for about an hour with only a few plucks.
Then noticed a lot of fry in the water so changed to an epoxy minnow and first cast landed a nice wee trout :D . Had another two and a load of follows but had to pack up as i had forgotten waders have a leak and was soaking from the nads down

Well done colin c, nice to see someone catch a decent fish on the fly for a change. Surprised to see you lowering your standards by going in search of those muck suckers. :o Even Bob would not stoop so low.
