[b]Report had to change my area of fishing cause my daughter wanted to come with me, so took her down to lennan pier for the day. nothing happening at all about the pier, it was dead, i hooked one but came off on the way in, then later in the day landed one very small pollock. a few other lads landed around 1.30, one of them is from this site, MackDaddy from belfast, he is up here on holiday, he got a nice conger that weighed in at 13lb ( and returned ) then he got a small flounder. i gave it a while longer but it was just one of those days when nothing seemed to work, four or five other guys landed, and it was the same story for them, they were getting nothing. so i packed up the gear, gave the rest of my mac; to a guy and gave MackDaddy some of the squid that i had left over, then it was home for the ta....

Up at the pier all day and ended up being an ok session. Started off by meeting fishermannum1! Nice to put a face to the name, thanks again for the squid.
Thought we were onto a winner when I landed a nice conger and a small dab within 30mins but then all went dead. The bashers came and went, then came again and we stuck it out with the bait. Ended up catching (between me and the wee bro) 1 conger 13lbs, 3 small pollock, 3 dab and 1 plaice before we gave up and joined the bashers!! outfished them all with 19 between us!! :oops: ha ha justice prevails. :D (22 mackeral landed that evening)
Went again this morning as it was the last day of our holiday and had lots of sport with small pollock, 11 in 45mins plus another dab for myself.

Returned all fish apu (except four mackeral for the plate).

lennan has been fishing very well lately, but it is renowned for throwing up a bad day every so ofen, pity it was the day i landed :cry: but thats the way it go's cant have it good all the time. like you said MackDaddy its nice to put a name to a face, enjoyed our chat....marshpike yes it fish's well at night, especially for the conger-----have sent you a PM
