[b]People me and my Daughter

[b]Duration 9.45am/3.30pm

[b]Tide full at 2.30ish

[b]Weather wind/rain/sunny

[b]Bait mac/squid/peeler

[b]Rigs 1 hook pulley/2 hook flapper

[b]Results good mix of spices

[b]Report my young girl has been at me for a while now to take her out fishing again, would not chance the rock marks with her, so took her to lennan pier were it would be safer.we took the road over the gap as it is quicker, on coming down the hill i could see that there was no one on the pier, so it was boot to the board to get there and get into my spot, before anyone else landed. set the first rod up with a pulley rig and put it well out into the bay baited with peeler/squid. and started to set up a rod for my young girl, my rod went and i landed a nice ray. rebaited it and put it back out, got the other rods sorted out, and we settled in. my young girl was pulling every thing in, rocklin,pollock,coalies,mac's/dogie's/turbot/plaice/gurnards/, then when the tide started to flood they appeared, car loads of mackeral bashers, jes; it was madness, but i did get a laugh out of it, they had lined the front of the pier and were fishing like mad with the feathers, my young girl was in the middle of them, and she was pulling fish in on every cast, a whole mixture of spices, the basher's were getting nothing!!!  the looks on their faces was priceless  all i could do was laugh, my young girl was even trying to show them what to do 8) well she had a great day out and she cant wait for the next trip....and she out fished me big time!!!......a few pic's..

I got a laugh myself reading this report, :o  . well done. Could do with some advice from her meself  Just the antidote I needed after coming back from one of "my" spots last night. It was festooned with packaging from feathers, line, cigarette butts, hooks etc. This is my first year spent "seriously " fishing (as distinct from 3 or 4 times a year) and i never realised the amount of litter left on our shoreline  .

forgot to say in my post, i was talking to a good friend of mine from lennan at the pier yesterday, he said a few days ago the plaice was packed with guys fishing for the mackeral, leads and feathers were flying everywere, and an American couple on holiday were up at the front of the pier watching them. and bang!! a trace wraped around her head, with one of the hooks inbeded in the back of her neck. he had to give them directions to get to letterkenny hosipital....sore one....

Jeysus they really don't have a clue, I was going to hit my local pier for flatties this evening but I'm having second thoughts for the same reason.

Great mixed bag, looking forward to coming up there over the next few weeks.
