I've caught them in Namibia, 5 or 6 of them, and I've caught one in Thailand - at sea, not on the Mekong.

Biggest would have been about 15 lbs, I suppose.

Just stand well back and let your guide/skipper handle it when you land it......!

Hi
Merlin, had this leopard ray that tipped the scales at 170lbs of brunei in 2005.
lovely ray, with a fantastic pattern, tail was nearly 3 meters long! it was a very thick ray indeed and after an hours battle was boated and returned

The biggest I've heard of was a 220lb(going by the size chart) skate caught by a mate on the Antrim coast , landed it on his own as well  luckily he's a big guy and was able to haul it over the stern of his 18 foot boat to measure ,then he had the job of getting it back over the side of the boat as the other boats anchored near-by looked on . he breaks 50-80lb class boat rods for a hobby
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

Had a stinger off fenit peir that was well over 100lb. Got her in to the edge of the rocks . We had a massive one meter wide landing net but she was far too big to go into it. Myself seanibo and another lad could not lift it out of the water . Ended up cutting her loose.

Fish was caught with half a sandeel on a size 2 kamasan tied to 20lb amnesia on a three hook flapper.

While in Lanzarote seanibo and myself were mullet fishing on one of the piers when three stingers of easily 400 lb weight came through our swim one after the other.

Gave us some s**t attack. Nearly fell off the pier.
UP THE DEISE!!!!!!!

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.
