Started doing a bit of fishing in shankill lately, picked up a few mackerel and pollack on the spinner, flounder and dogs groundfishing, anyone familiar with the area from killiney say down to quinns road that can gimme a bit of advice.
Surely a few bass knocking around there among the rocks...

i used to fish there yonks ago. there is a cross in the water just out fron shankill water i used to fish to the right of that around 400m past some water treatment sign. there is a sand bank there and used to get flats off it and plenty of wrasse as well either side of the sand bank. last year there was a 6 pound bass taken from that area and every year usually around the end of August there is a good few sea trout taken.

Cheers samo i know were yout talking about there, yea its handy for me just to slip down there so it is, ground is very patchy though, just messing around with different baits and rigs at the mo. Hard enough get the sea trout. heard its good there were the streams run out. Might give it a shot on the spinner.
