whitewater, malahide marina 23/6/8

#1 Post by jw »

People: jw donogh

Duration: 1800-2300

Tide: low at 2000

Weather: brisk SE breeze

Bait: mackerel

Rigs: ledger

Results: two double figure ray and plenty of mackerels

Report:

mackerel better now, were going to use fluoro snoods, but opted for 100lb wire
as the magnetism would counteract the bad juju due to easterly component of wind.
the ray seem to be in pairs

A couple of Nice Ray there John. Well done. How were the conditions? Did you catch from your usual spot?

full houses of mackerel both at irelands eye and bennet bank. We only anchored for about 40 minutes as it was a bit breezy, it was the same mark, id say anywhere close to the bank
would be the same
